Education in South Africa
In South Africa's Bill of Rights in the Constitution, it states all South Africans have the right to a basic education. The country has an obligation to progressively make education available and accessible to all students. The government is working hard to fulfill this promise to the South African people. However, it is not an easy task because of South Africa's history. Apartheid affected every aspect of life in South Africa, and education was not left out. Now that apartheid is over, most children receive an education, but it may not be the best quality of education. The main goal in the education system today is to improve the quality of education for all students.
